Controller
We are looking for an experienced Controller who thrives on dynamism, responsibility, and collaboration. In this role, you will act as a strategic sparring partner for management and operations, playing a key role in further professionalizing and digitalizing our financial processes.
Step Into the Role
As a Controller at Normec Foodcare, you will combine financial expertise with a fresh perspective on process optimization, digitalization, and improving management reporting within the organization. You will play a key role in unlocking data, building dashboards, and developing management information that accelerates and strengthens decision-making. In addition, you will optimize the budgeting and forecasting processes, allowing us to respond more quickly and effectively to market changes. You will be the driving force behind financial insights that genuinely support strategic decisions.
You will work closely with the Finance Director, Jeroen Brink, and liaise with various (international) colleagues across Finance, Operations, IT, and the management team. You will support multiple entities within Normec Foodcare, each with their own revenue streams and dynamics, making your role diverse, challenging, and highly valuable.
Your responsibilities:
Prepare, analyze, and explain financial reports and KPIs
Initiate and guide improvement projects with a focus on digitalization and automation
Optimize the budgeting and forecasting process, including tooling and data quality
Develop management information and dashboards (e.g., in PowerBI)
Support business cases, investment analyses, and strategic decision-making
Act as a sparring partner for management and operational teams

Fixed-term contract with a view to permanent employment
32–40 hours per week
Salary between €80,000 and €90,000 gross per year (based on 40 hours/week), depending on experience and knowledge
25 vacation days for full-time employees plus 8% holiday allowance

Your Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent
5–7 years of experience in a role where (financial) data played a central role, preferably in production, quality, or service environments
Demonstrated experience with digitalization projects and improving budgeting and forecasting processes
Experience with BI tools and affinity for data analysis
Strong analytical skills, persuasive ability, and a hands-on mentality
Affinity with the food industry is a plus
Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus) and the ability to collaborate effectively with international colleagues
