Are you ready to take the lead in shaping financial insights and driving business growth? We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Controller to strengthen our finance team in Germany.

In this key role, you will ensure the quality of financial reporting, credit control, system integration, forecasting and budgeting. As a trusted sparring partner to the Finance Business Manager and reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll provide strategic recommendations, ensure compliance with HGB/IFRS, and help improve processes to support sustainable growth.

Step Into the Role

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will play a central role in ensuring financial integrity, transparency, and efficiency across our organization, which includes four laboratories. You will be responsible not only for accurate reporting and controlling tasks but also for driving process improvements and integrating new ERP systems across multiple labs and business units.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Safeguarding, implementing, and continuously optimizing standard finance processes

• Reviewing and approving prepared payments

• Integrating new ERP systems

• Managing bank balances and liquidity planning

• Executing special postings and performing month-end closings

• Overseeing credit control activities

• Acting as a communicative link between finance and non-financial stakeholders

• Working closely with the Finance Business Manager on:

  • Accurate data uploads and processing in Tagetik

  • Preparation of forecasts and budgets for our business units

Your profile

You are proactive, results-driven, and energetic, combining a strong financial background with a pragmatic approach. As a true finance professional, you not only interpret numbers but also look beyond them. You are open to sparring with colleagues across different countries and have the interpersonal skills to connect easily with others. You stay close to the business, show genuine interest in processes, and move smoothly between strategy and operations. You thrive on improving and structuring processes, taking pride in making finance both efficient and impactful.

You also recognize yourself in the following points:

• An authentic and approachable personality with a critical and analytical mindset

• Experienced Controller with a proven track record in financial management and reporting

• Strong knowledge of the German accounting system and German GAAP (HGB)

• Solid foundational understanding of German tax regulations

• Fluent in both German and English; additional languages are a plus

• Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and able to translate numbers into actionable insights

• Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany (1–2 times per month)

• Ideally based in the Regensburg area
